Janice Byars Harris, 74, of Mooresboro, passed away on Monday, May 26, 2015.

A native of Cleveland County, she was born on October 12, 1940, a daughter of the late Broadus and Minnie Green Byars. She was retired from Cone Mills Corporation - Cliffside Plant and was a member of Camps Creek Baptist Church. Mrs. Harris loved to work in her yard and the joys of her life were her two grandsons.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry Harris; one son, Lee Harris and wife Kim of Mooresboro; two brothers, Hubert Byars and wife Brenda and Willie Byars and wife Dot, all of Mooresboro; two sisters, Brenda Roach and husband Wayne of Mooresboro and Ruth Sexton and husband Larry of Palm Coast, FL; two grandchildren, Benjamin Harris and Jordan Harris; two step-grandchildren, Billy Wallace and Anna Estrellado.

Funeral services were held at Camps Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Taylor, Rev. Lamar Huitte and Rev. Buddy Morehead officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

McKinney-Landreth & Carroll Funeral and Cremation Service is serving the Harris family.
