Janice Carol Owens Jones, 57

Janice Carol Owens Jones, 57, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 3, 2017.

Born to the late Morris and Fern Watkins Owens on March 23, 1960 in Rutherford County. She is also predeceased by Eddie Lynn Watkins.

Janice leaves behind to cherish her memories her two daughters, Brandy Carol Owens (Rodney Spurling) of Shelby and Tamala Nicole Arender "Nickie" (Dean) of Forest City; two brothers, David Lee Owens of the home and Charles Leslie Owens; seven grandchildren; beloved kitty cat "Zoey".

She worked at Rail Crew Xpress as a Crew Hauler for 16 years and was a Dallas Cowboy fan. She was a blessed mother of two beautiful daughters and most loving maw maw of seven grandchildren and a wonderful friend, some called her "Sunshine". The selfless things she constantly done, her never ending love and acts of kindness never ceased to amaze her family, friends and those around her. She will be missed, loved and in our hearts always and forever.

A memorial service was held at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Forest City, with Marshal Dill officiating.
