Jennie Summers Brewer, age 99

Jennie Summers Brewer, age 99, of Rutherfordton, passed away Monday, November 27, 2017.

She was the daughter of the late O. E. Summers and the late Eliza Blanton Summers and a native of Rutherford County. Jennie was the widow of the late Edgar Brewer. She was a member of Mountain View Baptist church and worked for Doncaster Tanner and Rutherford Hospital. She was preceded in death by three brothers; R J Summers, Walter Summers and Francis Summers and two sisters; Louvenia Dobbins and Nellie Goode.

She is survived by one daughter: Bonnie Brewer Parton of Rutherfordton. Three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. One Brother: Bill Summers of Rock Hill, SC.

The Funeral service was held at McMahan's Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Joey Allen officiating. Interment was held at Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills; PO Box 336; Forest City, NC 28043.
