Jerry “Dempsey” McIntyre age 63

Jerry “Dempsey” McIntyre age 63 of Little River, SC passed away suddenly on June 28, 2014.

Dempsey was born in Rutherford County, NC to the late Benny Quinn & Mary Sue McIntyre. He served in the Army, was a Professional Boxer and later a trainer. He was also a Para-Legal since 1995 and was still working as a Para-Legal at the time of his death.

Survivors include his fiancé, Donna Dawson of Little River, SC., one daughter, Cindy Smith of Georgetown, SC., two brothers; Steve McIntyre & wife Sylvia of Little River, SC., Denny McIntyre & wife Serene of Raleigh, NC, three sisters, Ms. Bennie Sue Mitchell of Rutherfordton, Martha Goode & husband Steve of Flat Rock, NC, & Trudy Fancher & husband Rick of Greenville, Tenn.

He is also survived by 3 grandchildren, 7 nieces  & nephews & 34 great nieces & nephews.

A Celebration of life service was held on Little River Waterfront, Little River, SC., where he had made his home since 2003. A memorial service will be held at Piedmont Community Clubhouse, Rutherfordton, NC, August 2, 2014 at 1PM.
