Jerry "Dink" Dunaway, age 59

Jerry "Dink" Dunaway, age 59, of Rutherfordton, passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2016.

Born November 15, 1956 in Spartanburg County, he was a son to the Robert Earl Dunaway and Eula Mae Beck Dunaway. He worked for Stonecutter Mill for twenty-three years and for Timken and Eaton Corporation for several years. He attended Fellowship Baptist Church and enjoyed drag racing and repairing jewelry.

Survivors include his wife of twenty-two years, Libby Nodine Dunaway; two sons, Jerry "J.D." Dunaway of Rutherfordton and Boyce Hodge and wife, Christy of Harris; two daughters, Laura Dunaway of Rutherfordton and Amy Goode Shriner and husband, Jeffrey of Bostic; three brothers, Terry Dunaway and wife, Pamela and Randy "Buggy' Dunaway and wife, Nancy all of Rutherfordton and Alan Blake and wife, Beverly of Spartanburg; three sisters, Deborah Ridings of Columbus, NC, Lisa Hutchins and husband, Randy of Rutherfordton and Christy Beddingfield and husband, Chris of Saluda, NC. He is also survived by five grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted at Fellowship Baptist Church with Reverend Tom Runyon officiating.
