Jerry Waters, 73

Jerry Waters, 73, of Rutherfordton, passed away Sunday, January 31, 2016.

A native of Rutherford County, Jerry was the son of the late Clyde and Ellen Huntsinger Waters. He was a diesel mechanic, a graduate of RS Central High School and Nashville Auto Diesel College, and a member of Crestview Baptist Church.

Left to cherish Jerry's memories are his wife, Brenda Morrow Waters of the home; son, Mark Waters and wife Pam of Rutherfordton; daughter Susan Leonhardt of Shelby; four grandchildren; sisters Martha White of Rutherfordton and Doris Lane of Hartsville, SC; brothers Sam Waters of Mooresboro and Rupert Waters of Forest City. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, Rev. Earl Waters and Paul Waters and sister Joyce Waters.

Funeral services were held at Crestview Baptist Church with Rev. Kevin Rohm officiating. Interment followed in Eternal Hills Memorial Park.
