Jesse Willard Harris, 83

Jesse Willard Harris, 83, of Mooresboro, passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2015.

A native of Rutherford County, he was born on January 26, 1932, a son of the late James Willard Harris and Pearl Octavia Fox Harris. He was retired from Duke Power and was a member of Camps Creek Baptist Church. Mr. Harris was also a member of the Cliffside Masonic Lodge #460 AF&AM and was an avid NASCAR fan.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Mozelle Holt Harris, and his brothers and sisters, Hazel Barnes, Homer Harris, Mozelle Hardin, Author Harris, Viola Jones and Ethel Hamrick. He is survived by numerous nephews, nieces, great nephews, and great nieces.

Funeral services were held at Camps Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Buddy Morehead officiating. Burial was held at Cleveland Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to Hospice of Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Drive, Shelby, NC 28152.
