Jimmy Junior Bowen, age 61

Jimmy Junior Bowen, age 61 of Rutherfordton, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2019.

Jimmy was born on December 12, 1957 in Rutherford County, was a son of the late Glen and Rosie Baynard Bowen and a lifelong Baptist.

Jimmy was a loving and devoted husband, father, Papa, brother, and uncle. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Hoyle Bowen.

Survivors include his wife, Debbie Smith Bowen, his daughter Nicole Bowen and a grandson; sisters, Barbara Smith and husband Paul, Lori Sullivan and husband Randy of Rutherfordton, brothers, Bobby Bowen and wife Tammy, Ronnie Bowen, Roy Bowen, and Jerry Bowen and wife Shelby all of Rutherfordton. There are also a number of nieces and nephews as well as great-nieces and great-nephews.

The funeral service was held in The Padgett and King Chapel. Interment followed in the Cool Springs Cemetery.
