Joan Cooksey Stacey, 75

Joan Cooksey Stacey, 75, of Rutherfordton, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2016.

A native of Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late Curtis and Sara Messer Cooksey. She was a retired seamstress for the Tanner Companies.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Dean R. Stacey of the home; step-daughter, Rhonda Lynch of Rutherfordton; six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and sisters Ann Foster and Barbara Painter of Spartanburg. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by daughter Teri Seay and step-son Perry Stacey.

Graveside services were held at Sunset Memorial Park, 1955 Cannons Campground Road, Spartanburg, SC with Rev. Jerry Ruppe officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Rutherford County PO Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043.

Crowe's Mortuary is assisting the family.
