John A. Weeks, age 71

John A. Weeks, age 71, of Rutherfordton, passed away Monday, August 15, 2016.

He was a native of Rutherford County and the son of the late Adam Alexander Weeks and the late Laura Jane Goforth Weeks. He was a member of Brittian Presbyterian Church. He loved to deer hunt, coon hunt and go fishing. John was also a loving father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his wife Freda Weeks and one sister Gail Hurt.

John is survived by one son: Johnathan Andrew Weeks of Rutherfordton. One daughter: Tracey Calvert of Wyoming. Two brothers: Spencer Weeks of Rutherfordton and Ken Weeks of Valdese, NC. Five grandchildren and one great grandson.

Funeral Service was held at Brittain Presbyterian Church with Reverend Ted Grant and Reverend Danny Camp officiating. The committal service will follow the in the Brittian Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
