John Boyce Cargill

John Boyce Cargill of Forest City, passed away January 6, 2018.

He was born June 24, 1934 in Henrietta, the son of John Edwin and Mabel Bridges Cargill. He was predeceased by his parents, his wife Perrie Dene Davis Cargill, and a sister Eleanor Cargill Strickland.

John, a graduate of Tri High School and NC State College, was an Industrial Engineer and US Army veteran. John is survived by his sons John Edwin Cargill II and wife Cheryl, James Davis Cargill, Joseph Cameron Cargill, and Samuel Boyce Cargill; 4 grandchildren; sisters Anne Cargill and Paula Cargill.

A graveside service officiated by Rev Danny Camp was held at the Cliffside Cemetery, Cliffside.

Memorials may be made to Cane Creek Baptist Church, 151 Cane Creek Mountain Road, Union Mills NC 28167.

Eggers Funeral home of Cliffside NC served the family.
