John David “Johnny” Ferguson, age 67

John David “Johnny” Ferguson, age 67 of Forest City, passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2015.  

A native of Rutherford County, he was a son of the late Zeb Laxton Jay Ferguson and Mary Ethel Haulk Ferguson. He retired as a maintenance supervisor with Duke Power Company.  He was a member of Forest City Masonic Lodge #381, A.F. & A.M.

Survivors include his wife Terry Ferguson of the home; sons Scott Ferguson & wife Sherry of Forest City, & Shane Ferguson of Forest City; a daughter, Tammy Ferguson Arrowood & husband Jeffery of Forest City; a nephew Josh Bridges & wife Kristen of Forest City; a brother, Dwight Ferguson & wife Brenda of Rutherfordton; a sister, Kathleen Wilson of Caroleen; grandchildren, Brooke & Seth Ferguson, & Bryce, Carlee, & Addison Arrowood, & Dalton & Sadie Bridges, & a great grandchild, Bentley Francis.  He is also survived by many other nieces & nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Eugene, Steve, Donald, Zeb, & George.

Funeral services were held in the Padgett & King Chapel with Rev. Bob Philbeck & Dr. Bobby Gantt officiating. Interment followed in the Cool Springs Cemetery with Masonic Rites accorded by Forest City Masonic Lodge.
