John H. Pruett, age 67

John H. Pruett, age 67, of Forest City, passed away Saturday, August 20, 2016.

Born on Wednesday, January 5, 1949 in Cleveland County, he was a son to the late David Harrison Pruett and Obie Hoyle Pruett. He served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked in textiles for several years and for Butler Auto Parts. He also was an apartment and property manager. John enjoyed fishing and woodworking.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Douglas Pruett and sister, Elizabeth Owens.

Survivors include one son, John Michael Pruett; two brothers, Tommy Pruett and Ricky Lee Pruett both of Shelby; one sister, Mildred Moore also of Shelby and a host of family and friends.

A memorial graveside service was conducted at the Big Spring Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors being rendered by the Rutherford County Honor Guard.

Harrelson Funeral and Cremation Services has been entrusted with the arrangements.

JACQUALINE CRAWFORD

Jacqualine DuCharme Crawford, age 96, of Ellenboro passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2016.

She was a native of New Hampshire and the daughter of the late Joseph and Celine DuGay DuCharme. Jacqualine was a registered nurse and served her country in the Navy during WWII.

Surviving are her children Susan Gilliam of Ellenboro, Richard Crawford of Lothian, Maryland and Jeff of Efland, NC.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
