John Mark Gary, 10

John Mark Gary, 10, of Rutherfordton, went home to be with the Lord Monday, January 12, 2015. 

Born in Buncombe County, he was the son of William & Rita Ramsey Gary. John Mark was an active member of Fellowship Baptist Church & a fourth grader at Pinnacle Elementary School. He loved his sister Becca, soccer, basketball, and his dog Brownie.

Left to cherish his memory in addition to his parents, is his sister, Becca Gary of the home; maternal grandparents, Ray & Shirley Ramsey of Rutherfordton; aunt, Lori Norville & husband Chuck; uncle, Doug Ramsey & a number of cousins. His paternal grandparents, Delwood & Erma Gary &an uncle, Robert Gary, preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held at Southern Baptist Church with Rev. Tom Runyon officiating. Interment followed in Fellowship Baptist Church cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Levine Children’s Hospital, 1000 Blythe Blvd. Charlotte, NC 28203.
