John Roger Holland, age 71

John Roger Holland, age 71, of Ellenboro, passed away Thursday, April 5, 2018.

Born March 30, 1947 in Rutherford County, he was the son of the late John Grover Holland and Roxanne Eve Lovelace Holland. He retired from Cone Mills after 40 years of service and loved NASCAR, #48.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Carol Holland; two brothers, G.C. Holland and Jimmy Holland and four sisters, Sara Barnes, Katie Davis, Peggy Dixon and Linda Yelton.

Survivors include two daughters, Thesa Holland, Christy Nunez and husband Raymond; one sister, Barbara Moore. He is also survived by one granddaughter, and a lovely lady friend, Sue Hubbard.

A funeral service was conducted at Harrelson Funeral Chapel. Rev Robert Harris officiated. Interment followed the service at Walls Baptist Church Cemetery.
