Johnny E. Bostic, age 76

Johnny E. Bostic, age 76, of Cliffside, passed away Friday, April 7, 2017.

Born May 29, 1940 in Cleveland County, he was a son to the late John "Will" Bostic and Mary "Molly" Wiggins Bostic. He worked for Cone Mills for forty years before retirement and was of the Baptist Faith. Johnny enjoyed the outdoors, which included fishing, hunting and gardening. He especially loved spending time with his family and his grandchildren. Johnny was a "people person" who never met a stranger.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Myles Bostic, Bill Bostic, Wade Bostic, Bob Bostic and a sister, Georgia Scott.

Those left to cherish his memory, include his wife of fifty-six years, Mary Wynn Bostic; daughter, Anita Darlene Cockerham and husband, Lester of Mooresboro; son, Steven Edward Bostic of Cliffside; brother, Yates Bostic and wife, Rosalee and a sister, Shirley Warner all of Cliffside; two grandchildren. He is also survived by four sister-in-laws, Mabel Bostic of Cliffside, Shirley Bostic of Hendersonville, Irene Bostic of Knoxville, TN and Shirley Bostic of Marlington, WV.

The funeral service was held at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Mike Elgin officiating. Interment followed in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery.
