Johnny R. Greene, age 76

Johnny R. Greene, age 76, of Cliffside, passed away July 25, 2014.

Born March 28, 1938 in Rutherford County, he was a son of the late Roy Greene & Inez Thrift Greene. He worked for Cone Mill for 38 years before his retirement & enjoyed working on old cars & clocks. He was a member of Prospect Baptist Church & served as a deacon for various other Baptist churches. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Charles, Junior & Cletus Greene; sister, Rosie Wilkie & one grandson, Jonathan Dylan Greene.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Tula Wilkie Greene; son, Roger Greene & wife, Kim; daughter, Christy Greene all of Cliffside.  He is survived by 3 grandsons, Justin Greene &wife, Anna, Jake Greene & Tyler Stacey.

Funeral services were conducted at Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Dennis Spencer & Reverend Ernie Cole officiating. Interment followed in Cliffside Cemetery.
