Joseph "Hal" Jenkins, age 74

Joseph "Hal" Jenkins, age 74, of Forest City passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2018.

A native of Rutherford County, he was a son of the late Yates Jenkins and Laura Wilson Jenkins. He was a highly skilled industrial sewing machine mechanic and worked for several local mills before retirement. Hal was an avid golfer, softball player and "fast" car enthusiast. He was a faithful member of Bethel Baptist Church in Ellenboro, NC.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Edria Marie Jenkins and a brother, Edward Jenkins.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Frances Clary Jenkins; one daughter, Brooke Jenkins of Boiling Springs, SC; one brother, Bobby Jenkins and wife, Sue, of Ellenboro, and the love of his life, his granddaughter.

The funeral service was conducted at Bethel Baptist Church. Dr. Wayne Blackwood and Rev Michael Sepaugh officiated.
