Juanita Branch Hollifield, age 85

Juanita Branch Hollifield, age 85, of Forest City, passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2017.

Born August 11, 1931 in Rutherford County, she was a daughter of the late Lee Roy Branch and Nell Lee Holtsclaw Branch. She was a member at Alexander United Methodist Church and Alderman of the Town of Alexander Mills for six years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-four years, John Clifford Hollifield.

Survivors include her two sons, Keith Hollifield and wife Sue of Marion, Alan Hollifield and wife Elaine of Ellenboro; two sisters, Margaret Epley of Shiloh; Wilma Beheler and husband LeRoy of Shelby; and one brother, Hugh Branch and wife Myra of Forest City. She is also survived by four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted at the Alexander United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. James Powell and Mr. Josh Hollifield officiating. Interment followed in Sunshine United Methodist Church Cemetery.
