Julia M. Sanders, age 79 of Bostic, passed away Saturday, December 30, 2017.

She was born June 17, 1938 in Macon County, NC and was a daughter of the late Sherman and Sissie Greene Messer. Julia was a member of Concord Baptist Church and retired as a Belk's Associate at the Tri-City Mall where she worked for many years. She was also preceded in death by her first husband and the father of her children, Boyd Eugene McGaha as well as her second husband, George Emanuel Sanders in 2003, a brother, Joe Messer and sisters, Flonnie Stacey and Margie Marr.

Survivors include three daughters, Barbara Wilkie and husband David, Linda Robbins and husband Bobby, all of Forest City and Brenda Sorrow of Mooresboro, her grandchildren, Jennifer Robbins Smoak and Jason Smoak, and their children, Parker, Karsyn, and Braden, Brian Robbins and wife Leah, and their children, Blakely, Josie, and Van, Lauren Robbins Yount and husband David and their children, Alexandria and Lucas, Julie Robbins and son Maddox, Drew Wilkie and wife Megan and their children, Allistair, Emma, and Addison, Hope Wilkie Williamson and husband J.J. and their children, Kendra, James, Kylie, and David, Michelle Knight Grier and husband Marlon, and their children, Chelsie, Jamal, Abby, and Chris, Daniel Knight, and Christine Knight Dubose and Husband Jon. Three stepchildren, and a sister, Mary Welch of Gastonia.

A Celebration of Life service was held in the Concord Baptist Church. Rev Travis Laflin officiated. Interment followed in the Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Concord Baptist Church, PO Box 70, Bostic, NC 28018.
