Karen Elaine Saunders, age 53, of Rutherfordton, passed away Sunday, November 27, 2011.
Karen was born to the late James Carl Wilson and Margie Agatha Brooks Wilson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Linda Kay Wilson Jimmie Carol Ballard and one brother, Stanley Carl Wilson.
Survivors include her life partner, Jerry Greene; one son, Michael Todd Fain of Spartanburg; one daughter, Sherrie Lynn Wilson of Charlotte and one sister, Sandra Ann Fisher of Spartanburg. She is also survived by two grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at Harmon Street Baptist Church. Memorial donations are suggested to Hospice of Rutherford County, POB 336, Forest City, NC 28043 or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
