Karl Edward Hardin age 84

Karl Edward Hardin age 84, of Spindale NC passed away on January 15th, 2017.

Karl was the son of the late Grover Cleveland Hardin, Sr. and Lillian Harris Hardin. Karl was a Korean War veteran serving with the United States Navy. Karl was a devoted Christian and dedicated member to Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church. He was actively involved with the Senior Center and had many friends there.

Left to cherish his memories are his care giver Louisa Price; brother Grover Cleveland Hardin, Jr of Maryland; nephews Mike McDaniel, Mark McDaniel, Jeff McLean, Jon Andre Hardin, and Robin Hardin; niece Rhonda Stiver. In addition to his parents Karl was preceded in death by his sisters Melba McLean, Martha McDaniel, Wanda Hardin, and brother Blaine Hardin.

Services were held at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Ron Setzer officiating. Burial followed at the church cemetery. Military honors provided by Rutherford County Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, POB 880 Forest City, NC 28043.
