Katie Jolley Harris, 95

Katie Jolley Harris, 95, of Cliffside, passed away on Friday, December 06, 2013. 

A native of Rutherford County, she was born on December 05, 1918, a daughter of the late Linder Lee and Augusta Lovelace Jolley. She was retired from the Cone Mills Corporation, Cliffside Plant. She was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church of Mooresboro where she was a former Sunday School Teacher. She loved to cook, sew, quilt, and camp at Lake James.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death   by her husband, B.J. Harris; one son, Billy David Harris; one daughter, Joyce Putnam; two sons-in-law, Richard Harris and Larry Barnes, Sr.; one daughter-in-law, Debbie Harris; one brother, James Jolley; one sister, Maudean Huntsinger.

She is survived by her son, Jerry Harris and wife Gayle of Casar; two daughters, Peggy Harris Barnes of Cliffside and Barbara Harris Cromer and husband Bill of Cliffside; one daughter-in-law, Robin Harris of Waco; one son-in-law, Bill Putnam; 12 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church of Mooresboro with the Rev. Dr. Bobby Gettys officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
