Kenneth "Babe" Ray Kimbrell, age 79

Kenneth "Babe" Ray Kimbrell, age 79, of Ellenboro, passed away Monday, June 6, 2016.

Born December 26, 1936 in Rutherford County, NC, he was the son of the late Archie Kimbrell and Lillian Phillips Kimbrell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie Blanton Kimbrell.

Survivors include three children, Gary Kimbrell, Duane Kimbrell and wife Debbie, Teresa Dick and fiancé Jeff Cooke; four brothers, Joe Kimbrell, James Kimbrell, Earl Kimbrell, Tommy Kimbrell and wife Cindy; and one sister, Nancy Waters. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was conducted at Harrelson Funeral Chapel. Interment followed the service in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery.
