Kids & Cops set for June 24

The annual Kids and Cops event, hosted by Forest City Police Department, will be held Friday, June 24, from 9 a.m. to noon. Now in its 19th year, the event is geared toward children ages 12 and younger, and families are also welcome to come.

The event provides an opportunity to learn about the different departments that protect and serve neighborhoods and communities. There will be free food, drinks and trinkets handed out. Trophies will be awarded in various categories including Best Police Car, Best Fire Truck, Best Rescue Unit, Best EMS Unit and Best Educational Display.
