NASCAR

Like it or not, Kurt Busch is in "The Chase". Win a race during the first 26 races and your likely in NASCAR's version of the playoffs. Kurt Busch took care of that in a dominating effort on Sunday, leading 291 of 400 laps to win his first race of the year. Despite all of the off-track issues that has plague him, it's no real surprise that he has reached victory lane this soon.

Busch was suspended for the first three races this season and now six events later wins. A teammate to Kevin Harvick, who has been the dominant force so far this season, they nearly mirror each other in ways on the race track according to set up. Busch already had two top 5's in five races and has finished no worse than 15th all year long. I won't be surprised if he wins multiple times nor will I be surprised that he and Harvick battle for the title this season.

For now, that is all premature, I still like a Harvick-Jimmie Johnson duel in the end. Let's just keep in mind, Kurt Busch and his team are for real this season.

And look at Danica Patrick for just a second. That should tell you have good this organization is with Harvick, Kurt Busch, Tony Stewart and Patrick are all teammates. Patrick has finished six times 21st or better with two top ten's.

Next up is a trip to Treacherous Talladega. No matter what the thought is, drivers are just hoping to avoid trouble at a place that could pile up a bunch of cars in just the snap of a finger. Let's face it, that's why many people like the 2.66-mile Super speedway.

Anyhow, since thrill seeker numero uno is out with an injury (a.k.a. Kyle Busch), I will take Brad Keselowski to take the win on Sunday.
