Lance Corporal, Bryson Cole Horne, USMC, age 19 of Forest City, passed away Thursday, September 20, 2018.

Bryson was a United States Marine stationed at Camp Lejeune, NC. He was born March 30, 1999 in Rutherford County and a 2017 graduate of R-S Central High School in Rutherfordton. Bryson was confirmed in the Advent Lutheran Church in Spindale and devoted son and Marine.

During high school, Bryson was involved in the MCJROCT Program at R-S Central High School and his training in that program helped him advance to the rank of Lance Corporal after he entered the corps.

Survivors include his father, Barry Horne and wife Lorie, mother, Kristie Bradley, sister, Jennifer Adkins (Jeremy), brothers, Jason Horne (Heather), Cliff Wilkie (Trina), Cade Horne and Klayton Dixon, and three nephews, Gabriel Horne, Mason Adkins, and Jaxon Wilkie.

The funeral service will be held at 2PM Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Mill Creek Church of the Brethren, Polk County with Reverend Larry Whitesides and Reverend Stephen Abe officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in the church cemetery.
