PrintLane Augustus Owens, 88, of Ellenboro, passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2015.
A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Augustus Raford and Jeanette Spikes Owens. Lane retired from Rutherford County Department of Social Services and was a US Army veteran.
Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Lynn Owens of Willow Grove, PA, Ray Owens of Rutherfordton; daughters Donna Reyes of Ellenboro and Lynette Poles of Willow Grove, PA; and a number of grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.
Memorial services will be announced at a later date by Crowe's Mortuary.
