Larry Nelson Bailey, age 68

Larry Nelson Bailey, age 68 of Forest City, passed away Friday, March 13, 2015.

A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Alvin King Bailey and Hazel Moore Bailey.  Larry was a retired project scheduler for Duke Energy, and a member of Sandy Mush Baptist Church where he was a former deacon.  He was also a former Hospice volunteer, an avid fisherman, enjoyed outdoor activities, and recently enjoyed painting and drawing.  He loved his Lord, his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife Rita H. Bailey of the home; son, Jason Bailey of Forest City; daughter, Kristin B. Harmon and husband Chris of Rutherfordton; his mother-in-law, Eunice Harrill of Forest City; sisters, Diane Callahan and Gloria Hodge of Rutherfordton; and his aunt, Ruby Kirby of Rutherfordton.

Funeral services were held in the Sandy Mush Baptist Church with Reverend Richard Davis officiating.  Interment followed in the Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery.
