Larry Taylor, 73

Larry Taylor, 73, of Rutherfordton went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 31, 2013. 

Larry was born in Spartanburg, SC, was a former employee of Stonecutter and Tanner Company and was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Polk County.  

Left to cherish his memory is his wife Betty Greene Taylor, daughters Joyce Bailey and husband Larry, Sherry Silvers and husband T.C., Nancy McPherson and husband Warren, Danielle Aley and husband Tommy, son Randy Taylor and companion Cheryl, 12 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, sisters Linda McKinney and Pat Eanes.

He was preceded in death by his parents – Carl Taylor, Stella Mills Taylor and Gladys Brooks Toler, two brothers – Ronald Toler and Carroll Toler, and two sisters – Jean Maxey and Cathy Staley.

Funeral services were held at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Polk County with Rev. Warren Elliot officiating. Burial was held in the church cemetery.
