Lawrence John Joseph Szachta Reid “Larry”, 73

Lawrence John Joseph Szachta Reid “Larry”, 73, of Rutherfordton, NC passed away Saturday, February 14, 2015.

A native of Detroit MI, he was the son of the late Frank Anthony and Lorraine Hardoin Szachta. Larry taught Middle School students math and science for many years and was a member of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church of Forest City and St. Ann Catholic Church in Frankfort, MI.

                  Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Sarah Reid Ziomek of Rutherfordton; sons Daniel Lawrence Reid of Tallahassee, FL and Mark Christopher Reid of Brighton, MI; five grandchildren; and a sister Teresa Reimer of California.

Funeral Mass was held at St Ann Catholic Church in Frankfort, Mi.

Crowe’s Mortuary & Crematory is assisting the Reid family.
