Leo Carter, age 92

Leo Carter, age 92, of Forest City, passed away Thursday, January 28, 2016.

Born July 16, 1923 in Bacon County, Georgia, he was the son of the late Ottis and Viola Dean Carter.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Virtie Lee Crumpton, Ocie Carter, Cassie Carter; brothers, Virgil Carter, Felton Carter; and one great grandson. Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Lorene Carter; son, Donnie Carter and wife Mary; daughter, Nancy Hawkins and husband John; three grandchildren. He is also survived by four great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

A funeral service was conducted at the Harrelson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Eric Yelton officiating. Interment held at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Gotha, Florida following a funeral service.
