Lester Eugene Radford, age 85

Lester Eugene Radford, age 85, of Forest City, passed away on Friday, July 13, 2018.

Born December 28, 1932 in Rutherford County, he was a son of the late Horace Radford and Florence Butler Radford. Eugene worked at Cone Mills-Haynes Plant for fifty years and was a faithful and active member of Grace Chapel Foursquare Church of Forest City. He was a man of strong faith and of few words, but his actions spoke volumes. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Lester was a loyal friend and loved his family dearly.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of sixty-one years, Frances Harris Radford; four brothers, Jack, Paul, Robert and Addie Radford; a sister, Ada Dysart; a grandson, and a great-grandson.

Those left to cherish his memory include two sons, Danny Eugene Radford and wife, Mischa of Sunset Beach, NC and Terry Lee Radford and wife, Charleen of Connelly Springs, NC; ten grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral service was conducted at the Grace Chapel Four Square Church of Forest City. Rev Ricky Poteat officiated. Interment followed in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery.
