Lewis "Luke" Wallace, Sr., 76

Lewis "Luke" Wallace, Sr., 76, passed away Sunday, October 1, 2017.

He was born March 18, 1941, son of the late Guy and Effie Smith Wallace. Luke was a member of Gantt's Grove Baptist Church.

Luke was also preceded in death by his wife of 54 years until her death last year, Janette Wright Wallace; five sisters, Mary W. Medford, Una W. Brackett, Christine W. Hughes, Dorothy W. Osborne, Betty W. Linder; one brother, Wyman Wallace.

Luke is survived by one son, Lewis Edward Wallace, Jr. and wife Greta Wallace of Harris; one daughter, Ann Lane and husband Rev. Robert Lane of Mooresboro; two brothers, David Wallace and wife Joyce of Shiloh, John Wallace and wife Sandra of Rutherfordton; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

A funeral service was held at Gantts Grove Baptist Church. Rev Robert Lane and Rev. Kenneth Linder will officiated. Interment was held in the Church Cemetery.

Arrangements are entrusted to Eggers Funeral Home of Cliffside.
