Linda Gail Waddell Jones, age 77

Linda Gail Waddell Jones, age 77 went home to be with her Lord on Monday, July 18, 2016.

A native of Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late, Etolia G. Waddell. She was a resident of NC for over 40 years and was a seamstress in several textile mills; and was preceded in death by her husband, Laurence Earl Jones in 2009, two sisters, Vicky Waddell Huntley, Violet Ruth Waddell of Spartanburg, brother Norman S. Waddell of Boiling Springs, and step-father Brice Morgan. She was a special mom, grandmother, sister, and aunt.

Survivors include her son, David A. Jones and his wife Valerie of Bostic, two brothers, Curtis E. Waddell of Sumter, SC, Darryl R. Morgan of Rutherfordton, and a sister, Nancy W. Rollins and her husband Frank of Beech Island, SC, and two grandsons.

A memorial service was held at The Padgett and King Chapel with her nephew, Scott Waddell, officiating. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Rutherford County, PO Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043.
