Lois Boyd Sims, 67

Lois Boyd Sims, 67, wife of Steve Sims, of Spindale, passed away on Wednesday, October 9th 2019.

In addition to her husband Steve, Lois leaves to cherish her memory her mother Betty Lois Morgan Boyd; children Stephanie (Barry) Gupton, Nathan (Mandy) Sims, Brad (Bonnie) Sims; 11 grandchildren siblings, Horace Boyd, Phyllis Edwards, Alesa Rodriguez and Tisha Farris.

She left this Earth very peacefully, a fitting end to a valiant battle. She truly lived a Christ-like life, finding joy through service to others rather than focusing on her own struggles. She had a firm testimony of her Savior Jesus Christ and knew that "when ye are in the service of your fellow beings, ye are only in the service of your God." (Mosiah 2:17) Her life was full of joy, and she took comfort in knowing that families can be together forever. She leaves behind a legacy of charity and selflessness.

Private memorial and burial services were held on October 14th. Memorials may be made to the Hospice House of Rutherford County.
