Louise Allen Holland, age 84 of Forest City passed away Monday, September 7, 2015.

Louise was born April 25, 1931 in Rutherford County and was a daughter of the late Roscoe and Minnie Henry Allen. She was a homemaker and a faithful member of Florence Baptist Church where she had served on various committees. She was preceded in death by her son, Mark Holland, brother, Charles T. "Buck" Allen, and sisters, Sue Allen Gee, and Mary Allen Earley.

Louise and George married in Forest City, NC at Florence Baptist and have been married for 66 years. They lived in Forest City until 1959 when they moved to Mexico Beach, FL where they built a motel on the boat canal. Over the next 18 years, while raising three children, Louise managed the motel, allowing George to pursue his dream of operating a charter boat. In 1976 they decided to return to their beloved North Carolina, first to the mountains near Linville. They continued to spend considerable time with old friends from Forest City and, in particular, their church and in 1978 returned to their hometown. Louise was a dedicated, wife, mother, and grandmother. She made friends easily and cherished all those many relationships.

Survivors include her husband, George E. Holland, Sr., a son, George Edison "Ed" Holland, Jr., and wife Elizabeth Bird "Betsy" Holland of Pensacola, FL, a daughter, Julia Holland "Julie" Nobles and husband, Rodney L. Nobles of Crestview, FL, daughter-in-law, Rosemari Toney Holland of Forest City, six grandchildren, Jenny Louise Holland, Laura Holland Kemper and husband Craig, Lindsay Nobles Brunson and husband Chris, Caroline Holland Weimar and husband Bill, Elizabeth Holland Nobles Tucker and husband Luke, and Charity Holland Gaffney and husband AJ, five great-grandchildren, Israel Marcus Je'Shaun Gill, Nicholas Ian McClure Gill, Wyatt Morgan Brunson, Madilynn Louise Brunson, and Malachi Kalief Dionte' Dato. There are also a number of nieces and nephews that Louise loved.

Funeral services were held in the Florence Baptist Church with Reverend Dr. Bobby Gantt officiating. Interment followed in the Eternal Hills Memorial Park.
