Louise “Easter” Beheler Bumgardner, age 93

Louise “Easter” Beheler Bumgardner, age 93, of Casar, NC, passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2013.

Born October 19, 1920 in Rutherford County, NC, she was a daughter of the late Romeo Beheler and Dell Honeycutt Beheler.  She was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting, canning and working in the garden.  She was a member of First Broad River Baptist Church.  Easter loved her family dearly.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-five years, Landrum Laxton Bumgardner; son, Donald Crowe; grandson, Jeffrey Dale Bumgardner; seven brothers and sisters.

Survivors include son, Roy Palmer Bumgardner and wife, Karen of Casar; two daughters, Betty Faye Moore and friend, Bobby Asherberner of Casar and Carolyn Hunt and husband, Lonnie of Bostic; two sisters, Elizabeth Waters of Ellenboro and Margaret Bride of Mississippi; brother, Bill Beheler of Forest City.  She is also survived by ten grandchildren, twenty-nine great-grandchildren, sixteen great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted at the First Broad Baptist Church with Reverend Jerry Ruppe and Reverend Lamar Hewitt officiating.  Interment followed in the church cemetery.
