Lucy Horne, 91

Lucy Horne, 91, of Mooresboro, passed away on Monday, March 23, 2015.

A native of Cleveland County, she was born on July 13, 1923, a daughter of the late Rex Roland McCraw and Elsie McCraw. She was a homemaker and member of Harriett Memorial Freewill Baptist Church. She loved to work word find puzzles, color and sit on her porch and watch the birds.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Horne; one son, Joel McCraw; her siblings, Lloyd McCraw, Hoyle McCraw, J.M. McCraw, Howard McCraw, and Estelle McCraw. She is survived by her sons, Kenneth McCraw and wife Barbara of Mooresboro, Bryan McCraw and wife Kathy of Shelby and Ronald McCraw and wife Katherine of Shelby; her daughter, Linda Houser and husband Lance of Mooresboro; 13 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at The A.C. McKinney Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Billy Poe Jones and Rev. Robert Harris officiating. Burial followed at Cleveland Memorial Park.
