Mabel Dedmon Spicer, 87, formerly of Spindale, passed away on Monday, January 24. Services were held at Crowe’s Mortuary. Interment followed in Sunset Memorial Park.
Mrs. Spicer was preceded in death by her husband, Lackey Spicer; her parents, Fred and Annie Dellinger Dedmon and one daughter, Nellie Simmons.
She is survived by two sons, James Spicer of Tampa, FL and Donald Spicer of Rutherfordton; one daughter, Christine McEntire of Rutherfordton; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; one brother, Esper Dedmon of Harris.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Rutherford County, PO Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043.
