Margaret Faye Campbell Thrift, age 66

Margaret Faye Campbell Thrift, age 66, of Ellenboro, passed away, Saturday, May 10, 2014.  

A native of Iredell County, she was a daughter of the late Vernon Nelson Campbell & Nannie Bell Hazel Neal Campbell, she was a homemaker who loved working puzzle books, watching birds, family cook outs, spending time with her grandchildren, her church family, & camping. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jennifer Bailey, a brother, Dwight Campbell, & sister, Virginia Rhoney.

Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Duey Eugene “Gene” Thrift, 3 sons, Duey “Lee” Thrift &  wife Karen of Ellenboro, James Gene Thrift & wife Pat of Mooresboro, Donald “Ray” Thrift of Mooresboro, 6 grandchildren, Anna Marie Thrift, Curtis Anton Thrift, Kristen Staggs, Amber Staggs, Sharon Beaver, Kerry Langford, Steve Deyton, & Shaun Deyton, 11 great grandchildren, & 1 great greatchild.

Funeral services were held at the Spindale Fellowship Holiness Church, with the Reverend Leon Brown and Reverend Roger Hudgins officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
