Margaret Pritchard Williams, 92, of Chesnee went home to be with our Lord on Thursday, July 6, 2017.
She was married to Arnold Hughes for 44 years and the daughter to the late Dever and Pauline Pritchard. Margaret retired from the textile industry and loved the Chesnee Mill Village. She enjoyed being outside, riding on the golf cart, and fellowshipping with all of her neighbors, whom she loved dearly. Her favorite saying was, "I'm fine, fine and I'm happy, happy, happy!" When asked the secret to her long life her answer was, "...because I love everybody, I mean everybody!"
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Roger (Peggy) Pritchard of Barnwell, SC; step-son, Kenny (Tracey) Hughes of Candler, NC; daughter, Elaine Parris of Chesnee, SC; a granddaughter of Chesnee, SC; step-daughters, Vickie (Yates) Bostic of Lexington, SC and Sherri (David) Vick of Lebanon, TN; sister, Birdie Mae Gardner of Gaffney, SC and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her first husband Clyde Williams; sons, Dale Williams, Melvin Williams and Dean Williams; step-daughters, Betty Hammett and Brenda Godfrey; brothers, Bill Pritchard, Everette Pritchard, and Lyvone Pritchard; and sisters, Lois Sentell and Dorothy Scruggs.
A special thanks to Kenneth Godfrey and Melody Smith for doing her hair every week for over 45 years.
The service was conducted at Eggers Funeral Home Chapel of Chesnee SC w/Rev. Harold King officiating with burial following in Springhill Memorial Gardens.
