Margie Lee Crump Hamrick, age 83

Margie Lee Crump Hamrick, age 83, of Forest City, passed away Monday, December 22, 2014.

Born February 8, 1931 in Mecklenburg County, she was a daughter to the late Harvey & Virginia Crump. Margie was a homemaker & a longtime member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, James Howard Hamrick; son, Doug Hamrick; daughter, Marilyn Green; 2 brothers, Jerry & Richard Crump; 2 sisters, Fay & Joyce Ann Crump & one grandson, Derek Hamrick.

She is survived by daughter-in-law, Brenda Hamrick of Forest City; 2 brothers, Harry & Paul Crump; sister, Brenda Mathis all of Lincolnton; 4 grandchildren, James Green, Matt Green, Billy Hamrick, Leann Hamrick; 4 great-grandchildren, which includes Alexis & Makayla Hamrick & brother-in-law, Kenneth Greene of Lawndale.

Funeral services were conducted at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with Reverend Bob Philbeck officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Memorial donations are suggested to Hospice of Rutherford County, PO Box 336, Forest City, NC  28043.
