Margie Lee Putman Butler, 80

Margie Lee Putman Butler, 80, of Ellenboro, passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2013. 

A native of Rutherford County, she was born April 22, 1932, a daughter of the late Grover Lee and Ada Belle Cole Putman. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and a former member of the Pastors Sunday School Class.

 In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James Harrill Butler; four brothers, Darrell Putman, Graber Putman, Willis Putman, and Landrum Putman; two sisters, Oneeda Bell Putman Hamrick and Mary Jane Putman Rankin. She is survived by her daughter, Angela Butler Bridges and husband Samuel of Ellenboro; one brother, Bruce Putman of Forest City;  two sisters, Margaret Putman Helton and husband Reid of Ellenboro and Renee Putman of Ellenboro; her grandchildren, Nicole Bridges Moore and husband Brian of Bostic, Samuel Kyle Bridges and wife Amanda of Bostic, and Justin Harrill Bridges and wife Leah of Spindale; eleven great grandchildren.

 The family wishes to extend special thanks to the nurses, doctors, and staff at Autumn Care Nursing Center for the loving care they have provided Mrs. Butler over the past several years.

 Funeral services were held at Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. Wayne Toney and Rev. Wayne Blackwood officiating. Burial followed at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
