Marjorie Horn McDonald, age 81

Marjorie Horn McDonald, age 81 of Forest City passed away Monday, November 28, 2016.

Marjorie was born September 6, 1935 in Rutherford County and was a daughter of the late Foy and Wilhelmina Tate Horn. She was a lifelong resident of Forest City and a graduate of Cool Springs High School. Marjorie was a retired claims adjuster having started her career with the G.B. Harrill Agency which later became Insurance Marketing Service. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Forest City where following her retirement she enjoyed working as a volunteer in the church office each week. Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Joe "Joby" McDonald, her sister, Helon Martin and brother, Sevil Horn.

Survivors include two daughters, Sandra M. Nanney and husband Mike, and Connie McDonald all of Forest City, as well as a number of nieces and nephew

The funeral service was held in the First Baptist Church with Revs Dr. Garin Hill, Tony Spencer and Dr. Barry Keys officiating. Interment followed in the Cool Springs Cemetery.
