Martha "Marti" Ruth-Alice Tanner Thompson

Martha "Marti" Ruth-Alice Tanner Thompson, 45, of Greer, SC, passed away on January 16, 2019.

She was born in Rutherfordton, and was the daughter of the late Martha "Frosty" Tanner and the late Edward Mull. Marti is survived

by her husband Brad Thompson and their two boys, Tanner (11) and Jackson (8). She was preceded in death by her grandparents Martha and Edgar Tanner, both of Rutherfordton.

In addition to her husband and children, she is survived by her uncle Edgar "Bud" Tanner, Cara Tanner-Walker, (Tyler). Tripp Tanner (Brandi), Brett Tanner (Christy), (brothers) Tim Mull (Stacy) and Erik Jacobson.

Marti graduated from Heritage Hall High School in Hendersonville, and attended Isothermal Community College in Spindale. She loved to travel and before settling in Greer 15 years ago, she lived in London, Los Angeles, Raleigh and Portland. She was an amazing make-up artist and was a counter manager for Clinique, Lancome, and La Prairie. She adored all animals and had a special place in her heart for pit bulls. Marti's larger-than-life personality and infectious laugh will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

A memorial service was held at First United Methodist Church, Rutherfordton. A private graveside service was held.
