Marvin Jackson Scoggins, age 98

Marvin Jackson Scoggins, age 98, of Forest City, passed away Friday, March 20, 2015.

     Born February 18, 1917 in Savannah, Georgia, he was the son of the late Samuel Jefferson Scoggins and Mary Elizabeth Strickland Scoggins.

     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou Scoggins; 11 brothers and 4 sisters.

     Survivors include his children, Michael Scoggins, Jay Scoggins, Robin Vahle; sisters, Lucille Hutchins, Wanda Lane, Vivian Payne, Lucy Melton; brother, Grover S. Scoggins.  He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

     A memorial service was conducted at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel.

     Harrelson Funeral and Cremation Services is serving the family.
