Mary "Alice" Conner, age 63

Mary "Alice" Conner, age 63, of Mooresboro, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 21, 2016.

Born April 10, 1953 in Rutherford County, she is the daughter of Mary Deaton Padgett who resides in Forest City and the late Jessie Padgett. Alice worked as a beautician for thirty years and was a graduate of Bomar Beauty College. She was a member of Harriett Free Will Baptist Church and also attended Tri-City Baptist Church. She enjoyed making jewelry.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-years, Donald Conner and brother, Daryl Lynn Padgett.

Besides her mother, survivors include son, Gregory Todd Vickers and wife, Tosha of Ellenboro; two daughters, Carolyn Michelle Sellers of Rutherfordton and Marcy Dawn Vickers of Black Mountain; two brothers, Mark Padgett of Rutherfordton and Eddie Padgett and wife, Tammy of Wilmington, NC; three sisters, Earlene Splawn and husband, Doyle of Mooresboro, Tammy Aldrich and husband, Lewis of Chesnee and Donna Wood and husband, Mike of Forest City. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

At the request of Alice, a private memorial service will be conducted at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel.
