Mary Ann Causby, age 88

Mary Ann Causby, age 88, of Ellenboro, passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2019.

Mary Ann was born on August 30, 1931 in Rutherford County, to the late John Allen Byars and Allie Mae Campbell Byars. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Rev. Lee Causby, Jr.; brothers, David Byars, Johnny Oscar Byars; sisters, Gladys Liverette and Ruby Bridges.

Mary Ann was the wife of Lee Causby, Jr. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church for 48 years. She had taught Sunday School for 55 years. Mary Ann enjoyed sewing, studying her bible, and lovingly caring for her family. Mary Ann was a faithful Pastor's wife and loved her church family.

Those left to cherish her memory are two sons, John Lee Causby and wife, Dianne, and Jerry Dean Causby and wife, Tina, both of Ellenboro; two daughters, Carol Johnson and husband, Randy, and Janet Roach, and husband, Randy, both of Rutherfordton; eight grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, sisters, Louise Wilson (Perry), Martha Byars, Sandra Bailey (Wayne); brothers, Donald Byars (Debbie), Michael Byars (Debbie); a sister-in-law, Barbara Byars and a brother-in-law, Howard Bridges.

The funeral service was conducted at Victory Baptist Church. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
