Mary Catherine Suttle Godfrey, "Cathy"

Mary Catherine Suttle Godfrey, "Cathy" age 81 of Spindale passed away Saturday, June 15, 2019.

A native of Rutherford County, she was a member of Main Street Baptist Church and was retired from The Tanner Company.

She is survived by her husband Harold "Pete" Godfrey; one daughter, Amy Godfrey Welch; two sons, Greg Godfrey, Harold "Pete" Godfrey, Jr. and wife Ann; two grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one brother, Jerry Suttle; two sisters, Carlon Suttle Bailey, Connie Suttle Horne and husband Howard; daughter in law, Shari Godfrey and a number of other relatives and friends.

Cathy was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Carl Suttle; mother, Venisha Suttle Ballard; step mother, Dora Humphries Suttle; one son, Anthony "Tony" Godfrey; and four brothers, Chivous, Richard, Timothy, and Thomas Carl Suttle, Jr.

Funeral services were held at Crowe's Funeral Chapel. Cathy was laid to rest at Eternal Hills Memorial Park.

Crowe's Mortuary and Crematory is serving the family.
